Getting to Guanajuato by plane

Fly to Leon airport. Taxis to Guanajuato are about $25 and it is about a 25  minute drive. I would
take an Uber back to the airport which will cost about $10.

Getting around Guanajuato

Guanajuato is a walking town so I would try to spend as much time on foot as possible to really get to know the city. Taxis to most locations range from $2-$3 (a bitmore at night) and Ubers are readily available and are slightly less.

Staying in Guanajuato

I would stay close to the historical center of town so you can simply walk to my house each day, but certainly taking a cab is not an issue. There are so many hotels and Airbnb’s in town that finding a suitable accommodation will not be an issue.

That said I have a few recommendations:

Very central, new and very friendly owner and staff.
Owned my Mindie, a good friend of mine. It's an amazing place with spectacular views. It’s a little bit of a hike uphill (5 minutes or less up stairs) so one need to be in a better shape.

Great location with super friendly owner.
